Saint Dominic Church - Wyoming, IL
Saint Dominic Parish began as a mission of Saint Patrick Parish of Camp Grove until 1903 when it became an independent parish. Construction of the first church began in 1880 and served the parish until the new and existing church was built in 1928-1929. Reverend James Fitzgerald spearheaded the construction and personally paid for some of the interior in honor of his parents. The church was dedicated on June 25, 1929 by Bishop Edmund M. Dunne. Saint Dominic Church is now part of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish which was established May 10, 2025.
Saint John the Baptist Church - Bradford, IL
Saint John the Baptist Catholic Parish was established in the Peoria Diocese on January 8, 1876. The original church was replaced in 1899 with the current building but was greatly damaged by fire in 1921. By 1923, the church was repaired and new stained-glass windows from F.X. Zettler Studio of Munich, Germany were installed. From 1922 until 1968, the parish had an elementary school staffed by Benedictine nuns. In 2025, Saint John’s was merged into the newly erected Incarnation of our Lord Parish and will celebrate its final Mass on April 19, 2026.
Saint Joseph Church - Brimfield, IL
Saint Joseph Church was established in 1852 as a mission of Saint Mary’s of Kickapoo. The original, small church was expanded into a larger church in 1864 and was later erected as its own parish in 1877. On May 8th, 1948, the larger church was destroyed by fire. The third and current brick church was built on the same location and dedicated on Sept 30th, 1951. The parish was merged into a newly erected parish, Incarnation of our Lord, on May 10, 2025, the Vigil of Good Shepherd Sunday.
Saint Mary of the Woods Church - Princeville, IL
Saint Mary of the Woods Catholic Church was established in Princeville, Illinois in 1867 in a small wood-framed church. As the parish grew, a new, larger brick church was built, which was dedicated in 1889 by Bishop Spalding. In 1910, the small Christ Chapel and sacristy were added to the back of the church for daily Mass and catechism class. In 2008, an interior refurbishment began which included the installation of matching high and side altars from the flooded church of Keithsburg. In May of 2025, Saint Mary of the Woods was established as the principle, parish church of the newly erected Incarnation of our Lord Parish.
