OCIA
OCIA stands for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults and is the normal path adults take to joining the Catholic Church.
The OCIA process is an ancient model for entrance into the Church that is used throughout the world. At Incarnation Parish, it involves 26 classes that begin in the fall and lead up to the Easter entrance into the Church. The classes are designed to give a summary of all of Church teaching and to give instruction and inspiration toward “putting off the old man and putting on Christ.” The Easter Sacraments that a new Catholic receives include Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion.
