Saint John’s Last Mass/150 Years
On Sunday, April 19, we celebrated 150 years of the parish of Saint John the Baptist in Bradford. We discovered that 1,780 souls were born to new life in Christ during the lifetime of the parish and 513 couples bound together in holy matrimony. Following the Mass we celebrated jubilantly in the parish hall. This was the final Mass at Saint John’s, and soon the Byzantine Church will begin to use the building for their Divine Liturgy. We are grateful for so many years of blessings, grateful for the use of this beautiful church by the Byzantines for many years to come, and looking forward to what fruit God will continue to bear in newly formed Incarnation Parish. (Thank you to Isaiah James for blessing us with his photography skills on this important occasion.)
