Holy Family Carvings
Palm Sunday weekend, Incarnation Parish welcomed Holy Family Carvings to sell their carefully handcrafted statues and crucifixes after each Mass. Woodcarving is one of the main industries that supports the small remnant of Christians who remain in Bethlehem, the birthplace of the infant Jesus. It is particularly difficult now during this time of war when it is unsafe to travel to the Holy Land - and these Christian families depend on tourists coming to buy their beautiful olive wood creations. So, the families bring their goods to the customers. Adam grew up in Bethlehem, and he brought these items to us, and also generously gifted a beautiful statute of the Flight into Egypt carved from solid wood to the parish.
